Have you ever found yourself in denial when everything is so clearly visible?

With balloons and a hint of sarcasm, this piece prompts a playful question: can pretending truly make things vanish?

Just a lighthearted take on the art of denying the obvious. 🎈

There was a period when we became slightly obsessed with balloons. Few objects possess such an immediate sense of optimism. Their colour, form and simplicity made them a recurring presence in our work.

Inspired by politicians publicly denying gatherings that had taken place in plain sight during the pandemic, What Party? asks a simple question:

Can pretending really make something disappear?

Ulaş Kesebir and Merve Turkan are photographers based in London.

Originally from Turkey, they have worked together since 2014, developing a shared photographic practice shaped by colour, visual wit and a playful approach to image-making.

Working across personal and commissioned projects, their photographs often combine carefully constructed imagery, subtle humour and surreal elements, using colour as an integral part of the visual language.

They currently live and work in London.

Our giclée prints are produced using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm.

Giclée printing uses light-stable, chemically stable pigment inks, which means colours remain accurate over time and the paper does not yellow or shift when properly displayed.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag is a 100% cotton, smooth matte paper chosen for its ability to hold fine detail, even tonal transitions and controlled colour reproduction — qualities that matter in photographic fine art printing.

Darkroom Prints

Alongside our fine art inkjet prints, Someprints also presents a selection of darkroom prints.

These works are printed in the darkroom, directly from photographic negatives —
either by the artist themselves, or by a dedicated darkroom printer working closely with them.

Each print is individually made, using traditional analogue printing processes.
No two prints are ever exactly the same.

Alongside our fine art inkjet prints, Someprints also presents a selection of darkroom prints.

These works are printed in the darkroom, directly from photographic negatives —
either by the artist themselves, or by a dedicated darkroom printer working closely with them.

Each print is individually made, using traditional analogue printing processes.
No two prints are ever exactly the same.

Darkroom prints are slower, quieter, and more tactile.
They carry the physical trace of light, paper, and process —
and exist as unique photographic objects.

We currently don’t offer a framed option at checkout on purpose.

If you’re in the UK, we’re happy to arrange custom framing for you.
We do this directly and individually, because frames are personal, walls are personal, and “one size fits all” rarely fits anyone.
